Here's a question for ya: Is writing 'no disability/not applicable' the same as ticking the box that says 'no disability' underneath where you've just written?

Really? Then WHY DO IT?!

At 8am there is a male student in a dress waving a big bottle of cider on the faculty lawn. He has some raucous friends and security catch up with them at about lunchtime. Apparently you're not allowed to have fun and be drunk in the daytime on campus.

This is what we get for building several monstrous blocks of flats on our doorstep.

The man in the Bristol City Council van hoots angrily at me as we narrowly avoid a nasty accident going up Muller Road. I'm not sure why he decides to rev his engine and try to speed past me at the exact point when I am staring to go round a parked people carrier, but there you go.

Perhaps he thought I'd just cycle straight through it, or stop and wait to see if there were any potential wankers behind me who'd rather kill another human being through their own blind stupidity and arrogance than wait a couple of seconds.

Have you ever tried to do a hill start on a bike? Goin up the hill? No? If you did, you'd understand why we are loathe to stop and wait for stupid fscks like you who are sitting in a great big machine of death with its own power source.

...a discussion arises about retrocausality and I discover a great philosophical debate raging on alt.philosophy featuring such enlightened arguments as "" and "". This leads me to investigate the futility of arguing with anyone on the internet and it is all summed up perfectly on smart@nia.

It has become 'relevant' because of the New Scientist article - featured in the alt.philosophy link above. The idea that we can influence the past as well as the future by what we do in the present... I wonder if I could make that van driver swerve into a tree or something. Slowly, of course, wouldn't want to cause him serious harm for nearly killing me.

I didn't discuss any of this with the van driver mind, I just gave him the V's.
