First trip out to a gig with my Canon 40d, and a bit of experimentation in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom - I learn a couple of things, most importantly that this camera's focusing in low light is stunning and my manual attempts are rubbish. Also that although I will probably need to get that lovely 50mm prime 1.8 at some point for the darker gigs, the kit lens (17-85mm f4-5.6)also does a really good job
Lastly, I learn that I need a lot more practise. There are a few good results though:

Cool, managed to see AMT the night before, they were awesome again.
At the London gig some old Japanese guy got out of the audience to do some wacky singing, any more of the same at the Thekla?
Photos look sweet, any chance of seeing the ones that didn't quite make the cut?

In the end I had about 300, but most of these were very similar, as the camera does 6.5 shots per second!
AMT are amazing, the Support band were ropey as hell though... review to follow!
