Missing Audio
Just noticed that none of my music has been playing, I'm working on it... this has probably been broken for ages, thanks for telling me! Ho Hum...
Later... Fixed now, seems the Audio module changed one field name in their database table from "file_format" to "fileformat", which broke everything. Way to go guys! Two of my mp3's don't work anymore, these shall be fixed later...
The Playlist is all up to date, anyway!

Drupal 5.x
Well I hadn't planned on upgrading to Drupal 5.2, but in the end I was forced to. Here's what happened:
Not that much has changed for version 5, I have had to edit the theme slightly and get used to some of my old modules (like audio playlist) not working anymore.
Music Reviews
It had to start sometime, I don't know how long I can keep this up but we'll see I guess... You all know how much I love the music, well I think it's about time I started writing about it properly.
Not necessarily albums, CD's singles or anything, I'll write what I hear, what I feel, what I'm listening to at the moment, what makes me hurl...
Enjoy!
NETWORK ERROR
Okay, so this is what happened... I think I'm being pretty clever, why bother to replace everything when all I need to do is read the patch and change a few lines in a couple of files. Who NEEDS to do all this full backup rubbish when you're not really changing anything, not really?
Ok, here goes...
NETWORK ERROR
Damn, better try to log back in...
NETWORK ERROR
Oh wait, where were those bits that I changed about browser sessions, maybe that's the problem...
NETWORK ERROR
Okay, Okay I'll just put everything back to how it was...

So I make a new database, install the very latest version of Drupal - now 5.2 instead of 4.7 - which I hadn't wanted to do because of all the work it would involve to update the site so that it works properly. The new site can't read my old database, which it is supposed to as it is supposed be able to upgrade it automatically. I painstakingly copy over each table that matches from the old version to the new in phpMyAdmin. I delete all the files, I copy everything back and tweak the theme a little.
With all this comes new functionality, the audio stuff is a bit better and the whole sustem is much easier to use but I really could have done without all this! All the gigs in the calendar are now set to 1970, which is preumably the year technology started. Or music itself, depending on who you talk to.
New clever thing no. 1: Using the Views Module and the development version of the excellent Audio Module I have a playlist where you can select which genre you want to listen to... PLAYLIST
