The Dragon had told her to terminate the project, her project, at exactly the wrong moment. Her bones told her she was teetering on the verge of something great. Every scientific fibre of her being screamed that it was so. The evidence was there, the human brain unlocked once and for all, this time without the usual unpleasant side-effects.
